"EYE (Original)" - Guzo

EYE is an album with interesting and unique production sullied with poor lyricism.

When I made the album my main focus was to create a sound that I had never heard before. When I created the album cover I immedietly knew what I wanted the album to sound like. But since my main focus was creating the sound, lyrically speaking the album is flawed.

The song POWER ON is a really muffled track with really narcissistic lyrics. I was listening to a lot of kanye and childish gambino so for a while I believed that seeming overly confident was cool...But it isn't.and then there's Only 1Bit which starts off it's first verse with a really unecessary couple of lines which should have been switched with something that fit the rest of the song.

With all that being said though I think the album is still a good listen with a lot of highlights among some problems.

POWER ON does go hard even though it's muffled and near the end the lyrics get a lot better.

Burning Down is a banger

Elevator is REALLY cool and sounds other worldy.

Only 1Bit has a really beautiful start and after 10 seconds of unecessary lines the song really picks up and starts actually telling a story of someone acting like they're feeling bad cause of meloncholy but it's very obvious that it's not when it talks about everything that's wrong.

CARE is a really awesome song with multiple chapters and all of them really well made.

Broken Childhood touches on a really important issue which is Abusive parents. My parents aren't abusive but i've know a LOT of people with abusive parents so I've seen and heard what it's like.

Re-Compute really fits the album's sound and theme.

Run is a really exciting song that makes me want to bop my head around

and then we have the ending "POWER OFF", It's such a nice and optistic sounding song and it really makes it feel like a good ending even if the album didn't really have an overarching story.

I do really enjoy every song on the album, I mean it makes sense since I MADE THEM ALL, But when I look at the album through an unbiased EYE I can't help but see the flaws. Listening to the album as a whole it feels like the pacing is off. there's good songs but the project as a whole feels like too much in too little time so I'm giving EYE (original) an
